When your customers ask AI — do you show up?
67 % of Fortune 500 CMOs name AI visibility a top-3 priority for 2026. For German SMEs, the window is open right now — and it won’t stay open for long.
The problem most companies are missing
In just three years, the way buying decisions start has changed. It used to be a Google search. Today it’s ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini — and soon Google’s AI Overview for almost every query.
These systems don’t hand back a list of ten links. They name one or two providers, and that’s it.
When someone asks ChatGPT: “Which estate agent in Frankfurt would you recommend?” — do you show up?
When someone asks Perplexity: “Which EMS device should I buy for home use?” — does your brand come up, or your competitor’s?
When your prospect opens Google and an AI answer appears — is your name in it?
Most of what’s said about your online visibility today no longer applies to AI-powered search.
What an AI visibility audit delivers
1 — The baseline
We measure your visibility across all four relevant AI surfaces: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overview. For each of your most important search terms — broken down into “cited”, “mentioned” and “absent”.
2 — The gap analysis
Where do the AI systems cite your competitors but not you? We pinpoint the exact topics and questions where customers are being routed straight past you.
3 — The action plan
No vague “create more content”. Concrete priorities: which pages to build, which content the AI models favour, and what’s realistically doable in 30/60/90 days.
How an audit works
- Briefing (30 min) — You describe your core business, your key services and your three to five toughest competitors. No preparation needed.
- Measurement (1–2 days) — We test your company across four AI surfaces, 12 representative queries each. Automated, but manually verified.
- Analysis (1–2 days) — Identify gaps, evaluate competitor patterns, prioritise the actions.
- Report & call (30 min) — You get a clear PDF with all the findings and a prioritised action plan. No consulting jargon.
Total time: 3–5 working days from briefing.
Investment
| Service | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| AI Visibility Audit | €990 – 1,990 (fixed price) | Baseline across 4 AI surfaces, gap analysis, prioritised action plan, PDF report, closing call |
| Implementation retainer | €1,000 – 3,000/month | Content creation, satellite strategy, outreach coordination, monthly impact measurement |
Launch offer: The first three audits at an entry price of €990. I learn just as much as you do — the reduced price is honest.
The final price depends on scope (number of queries, competitors, language versions). I’ll give you an exact figure after a short call.
Why OzDreamWalk — and not a bigger agency?
Three real differences:
- Compliance isn’t an add-on. GEO measures in German health, finance or legal topics need HWG, §6 UWG and GDPR review. International agencies fall down here. I don’t.
- Own infrastructure, no expensive tooling. The measurement runs on a self-built pipeline — not an €800/month tooling subscription. That keeps the entry barrier low for you.
- My own projects as proof. I apply the same measures to my own products. Not pure consulting know-how, but lived practice.
Reference: mid-sized EMS manufacturer (Germany)
Permission for a named mention is pending — anonymised until then.
Starting point: An established EMS manufacturer wanted to know whether it was visible in AI answers. The assumption: “probably not at all”.
Measurement: Gemini cited the brand in 8 of 12 tested queries. Perplexity in 9 of 12. The company was the most-cited brand in its category — without knowing it.
The real work: Even so, there were three concrete gaps: home-use buying-advice questions where competitors were cited and the brand was missing. We built an independent content site for exactly those three topics.
Result: 14 days after launch: 31 citations in AI answers. Cost of the ongoing measurement: close to zero euros.
What this shows: Knowing your strengths matters just as much as closing the gaps. And sometimes the best move is to build a new content asset — independent of your main domain.
Who’s behind this?
Oliver Bardenheier, Bad Soden am Taunus.
I’ve been building software products and AI-driven processes for years — professionally in tech/IT, and on the side for my own projects and selected clients.
OzDreamWalk isn’t a 50-person office. You get me directly — no junior staff, no phone chain. That’s a good fit for SMEs who want fast results and no bloated retainer models.
Frequently asked questions
How long until the measures take effect?
First effects in AI answers are typically measurable after 2–6 weeks, once new content is indexed. It’s not a switch, but it’s measurably faster than classic SEO.
Do I need a complete website rebuild?
No. In most cases, targeted new pages, structured data or satellite content are enough.
What is a retainer — and do I need one?
A retainer makes sense when the audit shows there’s implementation work you don’t have in-house. Commitment: cancellable monthly.
Is this only about Google?
No. We explicitly measure ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overview — the four surfaces with the biggest influence on buying decisions right now.
Is my field relevant?
AI visibility is already a factor in almost all B2B and B2C segments — especially real estate, health/wellness, finance, travel, education and any niche products with a comparison-purchase character.
