This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used and protected when you visit ozdreamwalk.com. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it exclusively in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). The legally binding version of our data protection information is the German Datenschutzerklärung; this English text is provided for convenience.

2. Hosting and Server Log Files
Our website is hosted by a service provider within the EU/EEA on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). With each access, the server automatically collects and stores log data that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is processed to ensure a secure and stable operation of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log data is deleted after a short period unless required for security investigations.
The servers used for this website are located in Germany.
3. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our web analytics does not use cookies (see section 5), so no consent banner is required for it. Should we introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary in future, they would only be set with your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, which you could withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
4. Contact
If you contact us by email or via our contact form, the data you provide will be processed to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully handled and no statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Web Analytics (Umami)
To measure reach we use Umami, an open-source analytics application that we host ourselves on our own server infrastructure. No data is transmitted to an external analytics provider or to any other third party.
Umami works without cookies and without cross-device recognition. It records only aggregated information about the individual page view: the page requested, the referrer, country and city, browser, operating system, device type, screen resolution and the browser language setting.
Your IP address is not stored. It is processed transiently only in order to derive the location data named above and to generate an anonymous, daily-rotating identifier that distinguishes returning requests from new ones. It cannot be traced back to you and cannot be linked across days; no user profiles are created.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a statistical evaluation of website usage in order to improve our offering, pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. As no cookies are set and no personal data is stored, no consent is required.
Google Analytics, Google Universal Analytics and Google Tag Manager are no longer used on this website. The corresponding integration was removed entirely in July 2026.
6. Security and Performance
We use a security plugin (Wordfence) to protect the website against attacks and a caching solution (LiteSpeed) to improve performance. These tools may process IP addresses on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure and performant website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
7. Fonts
Where web fonts are used, we aim to host them locally so that no connection to third-party servers is established when the fonts are loaded. Should any font be loaded externally, this is done on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and, where required, your consent.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). To exercise your rights, please contact us using the details in section 1.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our website or to legal requirements. The current version published on this page applies.
Use of artificial intelligence
We use AI-assisted tools for part of the content on this site — for images, and occasionally for draft text. Every published text is reviewed by a person, who takes responsibility for it.
Images: where an image was generated by AI and could pass for a photograph, we label it — either on the image itself or in its caption. Clearly stylised graphics, diagrams and illustrations carry no separate label; you can see for yourself that they are not photographs.
Our AI-generated images also carry a machine-readable provenance tag in their metadata (IPTC digitalSourceType). That tag can be stripped when a file is uploaded or processed by a third party, so the visible label is the one to rely on.
The legal background is Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act), applicable since 2 August 2026.
